Zoie Kingsbery Coe, mum of 2 and founder of family travel website Kid & Coe shares her favourite places to eat, sleep and shop… With Love From Mexico!
Where we slept: The Sayulita Lofts A 2-minute walk from the beach, they are lively, colorful and great for the kids!
Where we ate: What’s not to love with a restaurant whose tagline is ‘Fish Taco My Ass… Get a Real One!’. The Real Fish Taco by the beach is a must visit and the kids loved Choco Banana for breakfast right off the main square.
Where we shopped: Sayulita is a boho shopping paradise (kind of like Ibiza!). Bright colors are everywhere and local artisan goodies range from cool tapestries to ubiquitous skull paintings to bring home to hang on the walls. It was hard to resist the hippy fringe-y leather bags to caftans to hand-crafted silver jewelry.
Where we visited: The beach! We spent most of the day on the beaches, with our 8-year-old enjoying a surfing/paddleboard lesson far enough out to make me nervous but well supervised with a fantastic instructor in the quiet bay. I didn’t get a chance to try a yoga/meditation class at the Haramara Center but have heard great things.
